So many questions, so little time! This week-long institute will provide information and resources, time and structure, support and coaching for applying researched best practices to your personal teaching context. Guiding Questions: • What do the new educational regulations and expectations mean? Is anything really different? • Does personalized learning mean developing individual lessons for every student? • Can I really meet the needs of every • What research is important to my professional practice? student? • In fact, what does research know about my classroom anyway? • How do I put this all together without losing my mind? • Are there templates and tools that help make the process manageable? • Are “21st century skills” really any different from 20th century learning? Participants will:
• understand, identify and apply key characteristics of learner profiles • critique and synthesize current research on effective practices for high quality, effective learning • develop and apply learning design protocols to support student-centered, competency-based learning • develop a repertoire of applications, tools, and resources for managing student-centered, competency-based learning • join a network of practitioners committed to sharing resources, best practices, and solutions Cost: $1,000 per person ($800 for teams of 4 or more) |
